"And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death." Revelation 12:11

Jesse in the Presence of the Lord
My post on December 1st of last year was about Jesse Armstrong. A precious thing (Psalm 116:15) occurred today at 3 am, Jesse went Home.
Hi Kathy, I read your original post...sounds like a wonderful man with an amazing perspective. My husband was thought to have ALS not too long ago. It was amazing how simple life became as we lived life for a brief time with the perspective your friend wrote about. Paul's symptoms miraculously went away..his doctors were astounded and had no explanation as they firmly believed the damage they witnessed was permanent. We are humbled and grateful that God healed him. Sadly, we have often commented on how quickly we let the unimportant, the business, the attitudes, etc. creep back in once eternity didn't seem to be looming...as if we know the time and date. Your post was a good reminder for me. A precious thing did indeed occur..grateful Jesse is in the Presence of the Lord! Peace in Jesus, Beth
Oh wow Beth, that truly is amazing how God worked in your husband's life, how He works in each of our lives. We just need to trust Him!
My husband had the privilege of driving Jesse to many of his doctor appointments. He was a gracious man and endured much suffering with tremendous grace and peace and trust in the sovereignty of God. We so easily accept the good from God but forget that we need to accept adversity as well. We talked about this in our ladies Bible study on Thursday. How we need to get a grasp on this so we can respond correctly when adversity comes. Jesse was truly a sign post to us of how we should view and live life. When I heard he was with the Lord, I rejoiced because Jesse had experienced the best day of his life!
