No Better Place to Go...

Does your mind need a place of rest?

There is no better place to go, than here...

"How blessed is the man who does not walk 

in the counsel of the wicked,

Nor stand in the path of sinners,

Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

² But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

And in His law he meditates day and night.

³ He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,

Which yields its fruit in its season

And its leaf does not wither;

And in whatever he does, he prospers" - Psalm 1:1-3

What benefit we derive from going to God's Word and settling there - thinking upon it, meditating upon it, hiding it in our hearts.  It's where we find rest.  It's where we find refreshment.  It's where we find life-giving, sustaining water.  It's where we are made strong.  It's where we are changed because it's where we find Jesus.  Those who's minds and hearts consume God's Word will be consumed by Jesus and changed into His likeness.

Firm rooted trees with lush greenery and sweet fruit, or spindly branches with withered leaves and dried up fruit.

What kind of person would you like to be?  What kind of person would you like to be close to?
