The Blessings of Being in the Word - According to Psalm 119

• Draws us into praise
• Directs us away from sinfulness
• Causes us to rejoice
• There we will see wonderful things
• Brings delight to the soul
• Increases our longing for it
• Gives us counsel
• Brings revival
• Gives strength
• Enlarges the heart for God
• Draws us away from covetousness
• Keeps our eyes off of what is worthless
• Brings hope
• Gives comfort in affliction
• Teaches good judgment
• When others see our hope in the Word, brings them encouragement
• Brings life
• Gain wisdom and understanding
• Experience sweetness 
• Illumines our walk to keep us from stumbling
• We find truth because it is truth
• Are in great treasure
• Find peace 

I'm sure I didn't exhaust the list.  So much benefit from putting forth the effort of being in God's Word!
