Summer Blooms

I thought it would be fun to show you what is blooming and sprouting around our place...

Hydrangea

Baby Christmas trees!  We have a lot of Douglas Firs on our property and we get a lot of these seedlings popping up, everywhere.  This one is next to our porch.  Tim will transplant it in the winter, when the sap isn't flowing...

Daisies...

And more Hydrangea...

Those pink flowers in the background are Holly Hocks.  They are past their prime and not really lovely to look at close up but make a pretty back-drop for this Hydrangea bloom...

Normally, I would take my flower pictures on an overcast day.  You don't get the mottling effect that way, (mottling is blotchy spots, in this case part shade and part sun)  but I especially like how the Daisy picture turned out, and I like the mottling on the porch, behind the baby Christmas tree.

Hope you all are having a great summer...  Be sure and take time to marvel at the Lord's incredible creation - in the little things, like flowers, and bugs (even spiders!...there was a really cool, green one on one of the Daisy blooms), and the little trees that grow into great big giants...  Our Heavenly Father knows every bloom that fades and the exact count of the needles on all of His trees.  He knows you intimately, too, and He treasures you beyond your comprehension...
