...with a delightful gift today. A sweet, tiny, Filipino woman beckoned me to her checkout stand at Walmart because her line was empty. As I unloaded my cart I noticed she was softly singing, "Worthy is the Lamb." I mentioned to her that I loved that song. I then asked her if she was a follower of Christ. Her eyes lit up and she replied, "Why yes!" We ended up having a wonderful chat about the Lord for about three minutes. We both agreed that we were looking forward to celebrating the resurrection of our Lord next Sunday. I asked her if she knew how to reply if someone says to her, "He is risen". She'd never heard that before. I told her she should respond with, "He is risen indeed!" As I was leaving she said it loudly about three times, with a great big smile on her face..."He is risen indeed! He is risen indeed! He is risen indeed!"
Needless to say that encounter with a new friend and sister-in-Christ blessed my heart and made my day!

Have you sensed a change taking place in people's heart regarding the expectation of persecution before the Lord returns. Particularly at the cave but generally in Christians everywhere. There is less and less the sense that "We'll be raptured before it get's too bad."
I think the Lord is opening people's eyes and heart even if their theology has quite caught up with it.
By the way, I've listened to the first half to two thirds of Kristen's Bible study regarding OSAS that you linked for Lisa and me at the cave. Thank you.
I've actually listened twice but neither time made it through all the way because it got late. I really appreciate her gracious and sincere attitude towards the whole issue.
I do intend to listen to the whole message. I've just had too many irons in too many fires and can't seem to get caught up with life if you know what I mean.

I did want to make one more comment. When you look at the book of Romans as a whole, both Kristen and I see too much coherency to question that a person can lose their salvation or walk away from it. Those passages that seem to say that you can I think must be looked at carefully, we need to dig a bit deeper into the surrounding context. For instance, 2 Peter 2:20 talks about those having escaped the defilement's of the world by the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Verse 21 says it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it and turn away from it. The context of that chapter is false prophets and false teachers. They will have a knowledge but not a true knowledge. Verse 17 says these false prophets and teachers are springs without water...verse 22 talks about a dog returning to its own vomit. What I believe this is telling us is that those that don't remain were never truly saved in the first place. For a time they may hold to a form of godliness...a true prophet is identified by his moral character and his enduring faith.
