ONE AND THE SAME DAY…

John 6:40 – “For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself will raise him upon the last day.”

John 14:2,3 – “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

Romans 8:19 – “For the anxious longing of creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.”

1 Corinthians 15:21-23 – “For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming.”

Isaiah 26:19 - "Your dead will live; their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, for your dew is as the dew of the dawn, and the earth will give birth to the departed spirits."

Matthew 24:29-31 – “But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken, and then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 1 Corinthians 15:52 – “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”

Philippians 1:6 – “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”

2 Thessalonians 1:7, 10 – “And to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire…when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed…”

2 Thessalonians 2:1 – “Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to Him…to the effect that the day of the Lord has come.”

Hebrews 1:6 – “And when He again brings the first-born into the world…”

Hebrews 10:25 – “not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.”

1 Peter 1:5 – “who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

Revelation 1:7 – “Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him.”

Mark 13:32 – “But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.”

Matthew 13:39 – “…and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels.”

Matthew 24:14 – “But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved.”

Matthew 28:20 – “…and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Titus 2:13 - "Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus."

Can you think of any more?!

How could I forget this one?!

Revelation 6:12,17 - "And I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood...and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of their wrath has come; and who is able to stand?' "

A comment here - We see a reference to the day of Christ in this post and also one to the great day of God's wrath. I believe the day of Christ is a reference to the positive side of Christ's coming, for believers...this is a day for which we yearn and for which we are to watch. We will marvel when Christ is revealed. For unbelievers however, it will be a time of terror...
