Character - Qualities that make up a person

The Character of Jesus
  • Holy (separated from sin, set apart to God) - Luke 1:35, Acts 4:27, Rev. 3:7
  • Righteous (just, upright, godly, virtuous, good) - Isaiah 53:11
  • Good (commendable, right, proper, excellent) - Matthew 19:17
  • Faithful (constant, true, always keeping word and promises) - Isaiah 11:5
  • True (faithful, without falsehood) - John 1:14, 7:18, 1 John 5:20
  • Just (fair, equitable) - Zech. 9:9, John 5:30
  • Guileless (free from trickery, deception) - Isaiah 53:9, 1 Peter 2:22
  • Sinless (without sin, never going against God's standard, without rebellion towards God) - John 8:46, 2 Cor. 5:21
  • Spotless (unblemished, pure) - 1 Peter 1:19
  • Innocent (guiltless) - Matthew 27:4
  • Harmless (without causing damage, hurt) - Hebrews 7:26
  • Obedient to the Father (in submission to the Father) - Psalm 40:8, John 4:34, 15:10
  • Humble (lowly in heart) - Matthew 11:29
  • Merciful (withholding what is deserved) - Heb. 2:17
  • Patient (bearing adversity calmly, waiting without getting anxious) - Isaiah 53:7, Matthew 27:14
  • Compassionate (caring, tender-hearted) - Isaiah 40:11, Luke 19:41
  • Loving (sacrificial, putting others first) - John 13:1, John 15:13
  • Forgiving (releasing the debt owed, not bringing the offense up to self or others) - Luke 23:34
