IN MY PREVIOUS POST...

...I listed out all the verses that I could think of that relate to the Lord’s parousia, or presence. With this post I want to make a list of things associated with the Lord’s coming based on those verses:

• The resurrection of the saints will occur at His coming
• The elect will be gathered at His coming
• His coming will fulfill a promise He made to His disciples
• The sons of God will be revealed at His coming
• There will be a triple cosmic sign prior to His coming
• There will be great tribulation prior to His coming
• A trumpet will sound at His coming
• God’s work in us will be complete at His coming
• Afflicted believers will be given relief at His coming
• The Lord will be glorified in His saints at His coming
• The Lord will be marveled at among all who believe at His coming
• Unbelievers will experience terror at His coming
• The Lord’s coming is associated with the day of the Lord
• We should be encouraging one another as we look for the day of His coming
• Every eye will see Him coming in the clouds
• Only the Father knows the timing of His coming
• His coming will occur at the end of the age
• There will be a harvest at the end of the age when He comes
(I believe this is a reference to the rapture)
• Those who endure till His coming will be delivered
• His appearing/coming is a blessed hope
• The Lord will be with us till He comes at the end of the age
